  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 2025 China Tibet Development Forum, themed "Developing Plateau-Characteristic and Advantageous Industries Based on Local Conditions," was held on the 29th in Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region. The forum, themed "Innovation-Driven Development and Open Cooperation: Development Paths and Opportunities for a Modern Industrial System with Plateau Characteristics," aimed to gather wisdom from all parties to discuss the grand plan for high-quality economic development in the plateau region.

  Ren Wei, Standing Committee Member of the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee and Executive Vice Chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region, stated in his address that Tibet is leveraging its abundant resources and special policies to focus on developing advantageous industries such as plateau-characteristic agriculture, clean energy, and cultural tourism integration, while continuously optimizing its business environment. He sincerely invited people from all walks of life to offer suggestions, invest, and jointly promote the modernization of Tibet.

  In the keynote speech session, seven guests, including Jiang Zelin, former Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council and Chairman of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Shi Yong, Director of the Center for Virtual Economy and Data Science Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; and Lei Jufang, founder of Tibet Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd., shared cutting-edge perspectives and practical cases on topics such as the dual-engine development of plateau agriculture and animal husbandry, digital technology empowerment, clean energy development, the enhancement of Tibetan medicine and highland barley resources, low-altitude economy, cultural tourism integration, and international experience.

  In the Academician Summit Dialogue session, Ding Lin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the initiator, engaged in in-depth exchanges with several experts on "Major Projects Empowering High-Quality Industrial Development in Tibet," jointly exploring how to transform "project dividends" into sustainable "industrial benefits" and promote the coordinated development of energy, digital technology, transportation, and industry.

  It is reported that this forum has established a high-level dialogue mechanism for the government, academia, and business communities, which is of great significance for building consensus and exploring development paths for the distinctive and advantageous industries of the Tibetan Plateau.
