  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Reporters learned on the 7th from the Longbao National Nature Reserve in Qinghai Province that the White-tailed Eagle and the Osprey were discovered for the first time in the reserve in late April, bringing the total number of bird species in the region to 155.

  The Longbao National Nature Reserve is located in Longbao Beach, Yushu City, Qinghai Province, covering a total area of ​​100 square kilometers. Situated in the core area of ​​the Three Rivers Source Region, the reserve boasts a typical inland wetland and aquatic ecosystem, serving as a major breeding and stopover site for waterbirds on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

  The White-tailed Eagle belongs to the genus *Elaphe* ​​of the family Accipitridae in the order Accipiformes. It is a Class I protected wild animal in China and is also listed in CITES Appendix II and the IUCN Red List (EN - Endangered).

  The Osprey belongs to the genus *Osprey* of the family Ospreyae in the order Accipiformes. It is a Class II protected wild animal in China and is also listed in CITES Appendix II and the IUCN Red List (LC - Least Concern).

  The organization responsible for conducting the monitoring released information stating that a total of 56 species and over 8,000 birds, belonging to 11 orders and 24 families, were recorded during the survey. Among them, the main breeding waterbird, the bar-headed goose, numbered over 5,900, and the black-necked crane, over 170.

  The discovery of the white-tailed eagle and the osprey has updated the bird list of the Longbao Beach International Important Wetland, providing new basic data for local wetland ecological research and protection, and further highlighting the ecological value of Longbao Beach as an important waterbird habitat on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
