Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – June 20, Myanmar – Dr. Thida Oo, Union Minister of Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General, conducted a special investigation in Maekthila Township, Mandalay Region, to supervise the implementation of newly established model legal offices and to verify the operational effectiveness of existing model legal offices in Pyin Oo Lwin Township and Cha Na Ye Tha Zan Township.
During the investigation, Dr. Thida Oo met with officials from the provincial, district, and township legal systems in the lobby of the Mandalay Region Attorney General's Office and held a special work deployment meeting.
At the meeting, Dr. Thida Oo gave specific instructions on the pilot construction of model legal offices. She pointed out that establishing pilot model legal offices is an important measure for optimizing and upgrading Myanmar's legal system. The core objective is to promote the digital reform of the legal office system, comprehensively upgrading the traditional manual office model, such as registration, filing, and work reporting, to a digital office system.
Following the implementation of digital transformation, case handlers and supervisors can leverage information technology to improve efficiency and standardize office processes. Simultaneously, pilot offices can routinely conduct pre-trial interviews, further enhancing the professionalism and standardization of legal work. After the meeting, Dr. Tidau conducted on-site inspections of the routine operations of the pilot township-level model legal offices.
