Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Thailand Tourism Mart (TTM+) was successfully held in Pattaya, Chonburi Province, from June 10th to 12th, 2026. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invited several partner countries to participate in the event, effectively promoting regional tourism cooperation and connectivity. Pre-event site visits were also organized during the event, connecting Thailand with its Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) partner countries Laos, Myanmar, and Bhutan in terms of tourism resources and cooperation networks.

Thapani Kiatpaipur, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated, “Today’s tourists are increasingly seeking immersive experiences that integrate culture, nature, wellness, and local characteristics. Regional cooperation is becoming increasingly important for the TAT in promoting high-quality tourism development. Through deepened collaboration, participating destinations can jointly develop responsible tourism routes, explore new business opportunities, and ensure that the benefits of tourism development reach destinations, communities, and tourists more broadly.”
Leveraging the Greater Mekong Subregion cooperation framework and the Memorandum of Understanding on tourism cooperation signed between Thailand and Bhutan, the TAT facilitated the participation of 18 government and business representatives at this conference. These representatives included officials from the Lao Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Myanmar Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture, and the Tourism Authority of Bhutan, as well as business representatives from the tourism industries of Laos and Myanmar.

To strengthen regional collaboration, the TAT set up dedicated information booths for participating countries, showcasing the interconnected advantages of regional tourism and providing a platform for exchange and cooperation between participating countries, international buyers, and local Thai tourism operators. On June 9th, prior to the event, the organizers arranged a pre-conference site visit in Pattaya, leading participants on an in-depth experience of Thailand's high-quality tourism products. The visit covered cultural, coastal, and wellness tourism sectors, including a visit to the Sanctuary of Truth, a yachting experience, and participation in various wellness activities.

This event provided a bridge for participating destinations and tourism enterprises to exchange experiences, expand networks, and explore cooperation. It fully showcased Thailand's unique tourism resources in the cultural, coastal, and wellness sectors, and also put into practice the Tourism Authority of Thailand's "high-quality development" philosophy—further expanding market coverage by creating interconnected new tourism scenarios and generating greater value for the tourism industry in the Greater Mekong Subregion and surrounding areas.
