  Southeast Asia Information Harbor News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently hosted a trade fair and networking luncheon themed "Thailand Green Experience Tour" at the Sofitel Phokila Golf & Spa Resort in Krabi. The event brought together international buyers and media representatives from ASEAN, South Asia, and the South Pacific region, as well as 22 responsible tourism operators from southern Thailand. The aim was to reaffirm Thailand's commitment to sustainable tourism, build bridges between government and businesses, and promote local green tourism products to the global market.

  Ms. Patsi Phomwongsaini, Executive Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) for ASEAN, South Asia and the South Pacific, stated, “The ‘Thailand Green Experience Tour’ is a key initiative by the TAT to enhance Thailand’s status as a responsible tourism destination. By connecting with international tourism trade partners, media, and local operators, we have created a practical pathway for sustainable tourism products to reach the global market, helping Thai businesses practice responsible tourism development and bringing multiple values ​​to community well-being, visitor experiences, and ecological protection.”

  The 22 participating tourism operators from southern Thailand all possess distinct green attributes, including winners of the 2025 Tourism Thailand Awards, members of the CF Hotel Program, Thailand Tourism Star Rating companies, and service providers deeply involved in responsible tourism practices. They hail from Krabi, Phang Nga, and Surat Thani. During the event, they conducted targeted B2B negotiations with 19 overseas tourism trade partners from India, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Australia, exploring joint product development and cooperation implementation. Simultaneously, 16 media representatives from these markets (including content creators, bloggers, opinion leaders, and influencers) participated in-depth, conveying the value of Thailand's sustainable tourism through on-site experiences and expanding international awareness.

  The event was tightly structured and efficient: It opened with a seller briefing hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand's overseas director, sharing market trends and tourist spending insights in the target region. This was followed by a concentrated promotion of tourism products in southern Thailand, one-on-one business negotiations, and an networking lunch, comprehensively facilitating supply and demand matching. Notably, this trade negotiation meeting was the core business component of the "Thailand Green Experience Tour" series of site visits from May 6th to 13th. Buyers and media participated in designated site visits covering Krabi, Phang Nga, Surat Thani, and Phuket before and after the meeting, obtaining firsthand product information to provide practical support for cooperation decisions.

  The featured experiential projects launched this time are diverse and include community tourism representatives such as Ban Nai Nam Tourism Community, Thong Nyi Phong Eco-tourism Community, and Ban Sam Chong Nua Community Enterprise; wellness projects such as Prince Well Spa and Wari Lak Hot Spring Wellness Center; and low-impact local businesses such as Pan Suk Eco Shop & Tea House and Mountain Homes & Gardens, comprehensively covering diverse scenarios such as community interaction, wellness and leisure, and nature exploration. Some projects have won the 2025 Thailand Tourism Awards and the Thailand Tourism Star (TAT STAR) certification, or have been selected for the "Caring Travel, Connecting Krabi" route plan, showcasing the rich connotations and mature practices of responsible tourism in Thailand.

  The event, by strengthening market connections, optimizing product promotion, and deepening international communication, injects development momentum into the sustainable tourism industry in southern Thailand and further consolidates Thailand's international image as a responsible tourism destination.
