Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) officially announced that the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest Asia Finals will be held in Bangkok on November 14th. This marks the first time this iconic global music event has been held in Asia, coinciding with the competition's 70th anniversary, a significant milestone. Thailand's successful selection as the host country demonstrates the international community's high recognition of Thailand's safety standards, event operation and preparation capabilities, and its ability to host high-quality large-scale events. Furthermore, it will inject strong momentum into the recovery of Thailand's tourism industry and the expansion of its creative economy.
Ms. Thapane Kittappur, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, stated, “Hosting the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia Finals aligns perfectly with Thailand’s core tourism development strategy of ‘value over quantity’ – delivering high-quality tourism experiences, meaningful journeys, and long-term benefits to local communities through top-tier global events. Adhering to the core philosophy of ‘Healing is the New Luxury,’ we firmly believe that the essence of travel lies in connecting emotions, inspiring creativity, and delivering joy, and this competition is a vivid embodiment of this vision. This will not only solidify Thailand’s position as a world-class cultural, creative, and international event destination, but also, through the ‘Trust Thailand’ program, continue to uphold high standards of service, giving organizers and global tourists confidence in Thailand as a safe, reliable, and well-prepared travel destination.”

It is understood that this year’s competition, co-organized by Voxovation, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), and regional partners, with the core theme of “Music Unites Hearts,” marks a new chapter in the development of this most influential live music competition in the world. The Bangkok grand finale will be co-produced with S2O Productions and will be broadcast simultaneously on mainstream Asian media and global digital platforms, providing an international stage for outstanding artists from across Asia to showcase their original music and cultural stories.
Currently, broadcasting organizations from Asian countries including Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan have confirmed their participation, with more partners to be announced later. Each participating country will select its representatives through domestic selection processes, and all entries will compete in the same grand finale. Voting will combine audience participation with professional judging panel scoring, and the event will be broadcast globally on television and digital platforms, allowing for deep engagement and interaction from audiences worldwide.

Notably, the competition will leverage the new global social media platform ZOOP (officially launching on April 9, 2026) to build a dedicated digital interactive matrix. Through exclusive content delivery, real-time interactive experiences, and immersive fan activities, the competition will further enhance its international profile and strengthen global recognition of Thailand as a preferred venue for large-scale cultural and entertainment events.
With a participating population of over 600 million across participating countries, this Asian regional finals event is poised to become one of the most anticipated cultural and entertainment events in the region this year. The successful hosting of the event will further solidify Thailand's image as a vibrant and trustworthy tourist destination, showcasing its comprehensive strength in creating globally influential international experiences through high-standard safety and operational capabilities.
