After docking, some tourists disembarked to begin their exploration of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Thap Province. According to Saigon Tourism Company, 75% of the 1,400 tourists who disembarked focused their itineraries on Ho Chi Minh City's famous attractions. Traditional handicraft villages and the Cu Chi Tunnels were particularly popular destinations, while the White House and the Bund in Vung Tau and Ba Thu Ward were also popular choices.
As one of the world's most modern and luxurious large cruise ships, "Celebrity Solstice" was built by the leading German shipbuilding company Mayer Shipyard, with a total cost of US$750 million, and was officially launched in 2008. The cruise ship has a displacement of 122,000 tons, a length of 317.2 meters, a width of 36.8 meters, and 15 decks. Its size is equivalent to three average football fields, and it can accommodate 2,850 passengers.
