Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) The unique historical mission of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) has shaped its distinctive military reclamation culture and fostered a unique form of red tourism. For many years, the XPCC has systematically and comprehensively inherited and practiced this culture, creating an immersive "living classroom" of red tourism to help build a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation.

The Eighth Division of Shihezi City, as a prominent representative of the XPCC's military reclamation culture, boasts numerous historical sites related to reclamation and border defense, such as the XPCC Military Reclamation Museum and the Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall. The city has developed a premium "Reclamation and Border Defense: Red XPCC" route, launched "Red Experience Tour Packages," and utilized technologies such as sound, light, electricity, and scene restoration to enhance the interactive experience for tourists. An urban 3D light show, built with the museum as a backdrop, has become a popular "Instagrammable" spot. As a national red study base, the "First Company of Military Reclamation" offers a "Be a Military Reclamation Soldier for a Day" themed activity, where guides tell stories of military reclamation in a rhythmic storytelling style, evoking resonance among tourists. In recent years, Shihezi City has integrated its revolutionary history into urban development, striving to build a modern military reclamation city through various venues, sculptures, and cultural blocks.

The 13th Division's Xinxing City focuses on immersive experiences, dividing the military reclamation site into areas such as a revolutionary education base and a reclamation tool display area. Among them, the former barracks of the 8th Company of the Hongxing No. 2 Farm, a corps-level cultural relic protection unit, has been upgraded and transformed into a revolutionary classroom that is "visible, audible, and tangible." The military reclamation site, covering more than 50 acres and containing over 150 dugouts, is the largest and best-preserved of its kind in Xinjiang. Visitors can participate in activities such as carrying water and plowing, experiencing the struggles of the old military reclamation workers. Currently, the Hongxing No. 2 Farm has formed a comprehensive industry model of "revolutionary education + study tours + health and leisure," continuously deepening the operation of its revolutionary IP.

Red tourism in the border regiments of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is also thriving. The 10th Division of Beitun City, relying on Baisha Lake, the first national 5A-level scenic spot in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, has created more than 10 red tourism sites, including the former site of Shen Guishou raising the national flag and the Anti-Flood and Border Defense Memorial Hall, forming a "two-line + twelve-point" red border tourism pattern. Tourists explore along the border patrol trails, listen to stories of border defense and experience the hardships of guarding the land in front of boundary markers and sentry posts, integrating red education into the real-life scenes. The city has launched targeted tourism products, covering border tours for middle-aged and elderly people, party spirit education for party members, and study tours for primary and secondary school students, with experiential tourism becoming a major highlight.
