Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reports that the last few months of each year are the "golden season" for Vietnam's tourism industry, with tourist destinations attracting large numbers of domestic and international tourists. To achieve its goal of receiving 25 million international tourists by 2025, businesses have launched various incentive programs to stimulate tourism demand and prepare for this peak season.
Asia remains Vietnam's main market, accounting for the largest share of tourist arrivals, exceeding 13.6 million, a 21% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Tourists mainly come from South Korea, China, Japan, and ASEAN countries. Europe is Vietnam's second-largest source market, with over 2.1 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 34.9%. This is the region with the highest growth rate, highlighting the attractiveness of Vietnamese tourism.
In the first 10 months of this year, tourism revenue reached approximately VND 77.4 trillion (equivalent to RMB 21 billion), a year-on-year increase of 19.8%; accommodation and food service revenue reached approximately VND 6.951 billion (equivalent to RMB 187.8 billion), a year-on-year increase of 14.6%. International tourist arrivals in major destinations such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, and Phu Quoc have all seen steady growth compared to the same period last year. Significant investment in new tourist destinations, experiential tourism products, green tourism, and cultural tourism is encouraging tourists to extend their stays and increase spending.
With the recovery of the international market, the domestic tourism industry is also becoming increasingly active. According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, thanks to open visa policies and a series of international tourism promotion programs, the tourism industry has seen a breakthrough in growth in the last few months of this year, laying a solid foundation for achieving the 2025 targets.
With increased tourism demand, travel agencies are launching various new products and promotional activities to attract tourists and prepare for the peak tourist season. Paradise Vietnam, for example, offers a 10% discount on all its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) packages, and a 30% discount for stays of three nights or more. In addition, the company has launched a "Hanoi-Ha Long Bay Cruise + Round-Trip Luxury Car Transfer Package" and put its new cruise ship, "Paradise Legacy," into operation.
Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company's domestic tour routes, including those to the Central Highlands-Da Lat, Central Vietnam-Tracing the Truong Son Trail, Western Vietnam-Phu Quoc, and Eastern Vietnam-Northwest Vietnam, are very popular with tourists. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Vietravel is offering special promotional packages from December 1st to 20th, 2025, with discounts of up to 30 million VND and exclusive gifts. To ensure service quality during peak seasons, Vietravel has proactively increased its investment in human resources, infrastructure, and technology.
Thanks to the joint efforts of management agencies and businesses, as well as continuous innovation in tourism products, services, and experiences, Vietnam's tourism industry is experiencing a strong breakthrough during the year-end peak season. Therefore, Vietnam's tourism industry is expected to achieve its target of receiving 25 million international tourists and solidify its position as one of Asia's most attractive tourist destinations.
