In his speech, Khamseng Aly pointed out that the commissioning of the power plant is a significant milestone for Oudomxay Province and Laos as a whole, and its historical significance is further enhanced by the 105th anniversary of the birth of Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane. He emphasized that inspections during the construction phase confirmed that CGN had strictly implemented environmental protection measures in accordance with national regulations, and expressed his hope that the local government and CGN would further deepen cooperation to consolidate the development of the energy and industrial sectors in Oudomxay Province.

The power plant will not only strengthen Laos' energy security and support the country's transition to sustainable development, but also bring new technologies and training opportunities to local communities, especially young people, creating stable employment and income sources for people of all ethnic groups in Oudomxay Province.
Since its commencement on December 18, 2024, CGN has simultaneously carried out a number of social responsibility activities, including funding the renovation of a secondary school in Oudomxay District and participating in the construction of important local infrastructure such as bridges and roads, contributing to regional socio-economic development through concrete actions.
