President Kaysone Phomvihane was a great leader deeply loved by the Lao people. Khammouane Province Governor Vansay Phongsavanh and other officials attended the ceremony.
Following Lao tradition, a headscarf-wearing ceremony was performed. Afterwards, the bust of President Kaysone Phomvihane was carried from the City Hall to the Presidential Bustard Memorial, circling it three times. Following the procession, the bust was officially placed in the palace hall.
