  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Lao Center project, the tallest hotel and apartment complex in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, has officially commenced construction in Ban Phap Phu Village, Sisatthana District, Vientiane. It is expected to be fully completed and operational by 2028.

  On December 15, 2025, Kong Wenzhong, Deputy General Manager of Xi'an Sheng Real Estate Investment Co., Ltd., introduced in an interview that the Lao Center project is a joint venture between the Ministry of Public Security of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Xi'an Sheng Real Estate Investment Co., Ltd., and Lao Mahasa Development Co., Ltd., and broke ground in October 2024. The project is being implemented in two phases: Phase I is a 12-story auxiliary building, currently 90% complete; Phase II is a 46-story, 155-meter-high skyscraper, which will become the tallest building in Laos upon completion and is currently under steady construction, expected to be completed in 2028.

  The project is positioned as a luxury complex, consisting of two buildings, encompassing a five-star hotel, high-end apartments, a shopping mall, specialty restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, conference and banquet facilities, and other diverse amenities. Upon completion, the hotel and apartment sections of the project will become an important hub for receiving domestic Lao guests and the increasing number of foreign tourists, further enhancing the local high-end hospitality infrastructure.

  Kong Wenzhong stated that the company employed modern construction equipment, collaborated with internationally renowned design teams, and relied on high-quality building materials to ensure project quality.
