
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) This morning, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), headed by Comrade Khamphan Payavong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPV, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Propaganda and Education Committee, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Theoretical Committee, laid a wreath at the National Assembly Hall to pay tribute to General Khamphay Siphandone, former President of the CPV and former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
On this occasion, Comrade Khamphan Payavong also signed a condolence message in the condolence book, which reads as follows: At this sorrowful time, we extend our deepest condolences to the families, relatives, party organizations, the nation, and all the Lao people. May the comrade's soul rest in peace.
The comrade's passing is a great loss to the Lao Party, the nation, and the Lao people. We have lost the first senior leader of the Lao revolution. He was a Lao revolutionary, a heroic revolutionary, who contributed his strength and wisdom to the cause of national liberation in the past and to the cause of defending and building the nation now. He continues to lead the implementation of our Party's comprehensive reform policies. He was a passionate patriot, a courageous revolutionary, and an outstanding leader of our Party.
The Lao People's Revolutionary Party will forever remember his virtues and continue his work to make Laos prosperous and strong. May the soul of Comrade General Khammay Siphandone rest in peace.
