
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On March 11 and 12, government representatives from Laos and Thailand met in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, to discuss measures for cooperation in combating human trafficking.
The meeting focused on information sharing in the prevention and combating of human trafficking, including victim protection, repatriation, and post-repatriation support measures.
At the meeting, all parties emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in combating human trafficking activities, while ensuring the safety and dignity of victims.
The meeting also reviewed and evaluated past cooperative activities and updated information on legal aid and compensation for victims.
Furthermore, the two countries reviewed the implementation of the 2023-2025 action plan and formulated a cooperation plan for the 2026-2028 phase. (End)
