The Lao Ministry of Labor will hold the 4th National Skills Competition in April 2025.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Lao Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MLSW) will host the 4th National Skills Competition in April 2025, themed "Laos Skills Achieve Progress Regionally and Internationally," to select outstanding skilled workers to represent Laos at the 14th ASEAN Skills Competition to be held in the Philippines at the end of August 2025.

  On March 11, 2025, Ponsaysa Inthara, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 4th National Skills Competition and the 14th ASEAN Skills Competition, issued a press release to the media stating that the 4th National Skills Competition will include five sub-venues: the Network Technology sub-venue will be held at the National Assembly Building on April 4, 2025; the Wooden Box Making sub-venue will be held at the Skills Development Institute from April 27 to 30, 2025. The following training courses will be held: Building Electrical Installation Training Course at the Skills Development Institute from April 28th to 30th, 2025; Graphic Design Training Course at the Friendship Vocational College in Vientiane and Hanoi from April 28th to 30th, 2025; and Culinary Training Course at Pak Pak Sac Technical College from April 28th to 30th, 2025.

  The National Skills Competition is of great significance and necessity for the development of Laos' workforce skills, aiming to create a Lao workforce with standardized skills, meeting the needs of the labor market and socio-economic development plans, and capable of integrating into the region.
