Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 15, 2025, a delegation led by Rohit Babar, Chargé d'Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Laos, paid a friendly working visit to the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Bokeo Province, Laos. The delegation was warmly received by Sayapong Donmani, Deputy Director of the Special Economic Zone's Public Security Bureau, and the Director of the Special Economic Zone's Women's Federation.
The core objectives of this visit were twofold: first, to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for a vocational training center project for women and children victimized by violence; and second, to deepen cooperation with the Bokeo Provincial Women's Federation, covering areas such as diplomatic solidarity, tourism, and socio-economic development, working together to promote the steady progress of related undertakings.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Golden Triangle International Border Crossing, located at the tri-border area of Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar, and the Bokeo International Airport, and also visited the Golden Temple. Rohit Babar praised the progress made by the Special Economic Zone in infrastructure construction, and the two sides also held cordial and pragmatic exchanges on issues such as foreign worker management, border operations, air connectivity, and future cooperation.
