  When the kapok flowers bloom, Bokeo Province in Laos will host its annual grand celebration. The 23rd Kapok Festival, jointly organized by the Bokeo Provincial Government and the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone Management Committee and undertaken by the Golden Kapok Group, will grandly open on January 30-31, 2026, in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone.

  This year's Kapok Festival blends trade, art, and folk customs, aiming to create a multi-dimensional cultural feast. The "Lao Traditional Grand Market" will open on Kapok Island on January 17, with numerous distinctive markets remaining open until the end of the month, offering visitors an immersive Lao folk experience.

  A series of important events will also be held from January 30-31. The highly anticipated "Miss Kapok" beauty pageant will be held at the Kapok Island Performing Arts Square, showcasing traditional Lao aesthetics and modern feminine charm. Simultaneously, the "Peaceful Golden Triangle" International Art Exhibition, held at the hotel, will record the region's historical changes from an artistic perspective and convey a vision of peaceful development. In addition, unique Lao cultural performances and a "Lao-China Family" open-air party will be presented.

  As one of the most influential festivals in northern Laos, the Kapok Festival is not only a stage to showcase Laos' diverse ethnic cultures, but also an important window for the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone to demonstrate its achievements in peace, openness, and modernization. Currently, all preparations are complete, and the Special Economic Zone sincerely invites tourists and business people from all countries to come to the banks of the Mekong River and experience this annual event that blends tradition and modernity.
