Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 12, 2025, a delegation led by Win Lin, Deputy Director-General of the Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar, paid an official visit to the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Bokeo Province, Laos.
During the visit, the delegation held a border inspection summary meeting with Sonaly, Deputy Director of the National Border Office of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of the Lao National Border Committee. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on border affairs, including improving the convenience of international border crossings and promoting bilateral trade and the smooth flow of people, and formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the international border crossing of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone, gaining a detailed understanding of the zone's development plan as a key development area in the Mekong River Basin of Laos, and the achievements in integrating Laos' rich history and culture with modern development in the new era.
