This year's festival, themed "Vietnam Ao Dai – Vietnam Upward," includes a series of activities at locations such as the Ho Chi Minh President Statue Park, Nguyen Hue Street, Lam Son Park, historical sites, cultural relics, and tourist attractions. 53 Ao Dai designers, 30 guests, and prominent figures from various fields will participate.
Nguyen Cam Tu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, stated that this year's Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will be held from March 1st to 9th. Highlights include 3,000 people dancing in Ao Dai on Nguyen Hue Walking Street and over 50,000 people participating in group dances in 21 districts and cities, including Thu Duc City. Furthermore, Ao Dai art activities promote aesthetic appreciation and create new trends in the use of Ao Dai in the daily lives of urban residents. Following this were an Ao Dai fashion show, Ao Dai painting, an online Ao Dai photography competition, an Ao Dai exhibition space, an interactive space for interacting with Ao Dai, and the presentation of Ao Dai to female members and female workers.

Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, emphasized that the Ao Dai Festival is a unique cultural tourism event aimed at protecting, promoting, and disseminating the value of the Vietnamese Ao Dai. This year's Ao Dai Festival is expected to serve as an important bridge for Vietnam to reach a higher level and integrate into the world society, while also highlighting its important role in protecting and promoting traditional cultural values.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will continue to hold various tourism activities to commemorate major festivals, striving to achieve its goals of receiving 8.5 million international tourists and 45 million domestic tourists, with a revenue of approximately 260 trillion VND (equivalent to 74.3 billion RMB), accounting for 13% of the region's GDP.
