Various regions in Cambodia are actively preparing for the Water Festival and dragon boat races.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – With the annual Water Festival dragon boat races approaching, several provinces in Cambodia have announced related events.

  Banteay Meanchey Province Governor Oun Leth Thammavong stated at a recent working meeting that the province will hold dragon boat races on November 26th and 27th. In addition, from November 24th to 28th, a series of entertainment activities, including local product exhibitions and concerts, will be held along the riverbanks.

  Battambang Province plans to hold its Water Festival dragon boat races on November 15th, 16th, and 17th. To ensure the smooth running of the festival, the provincial government has decided to prohibit all types of vehicles from traveling along the riverbanks starting immediately.

  Kampong Thom Province's Water Festival is scheduled for November 16th and 17th. The dragon boat races aim to preserve tradition, promote water sports, and provide entertainment for the public. Siem Reap Province will hold its Water Festival dragon boat races on November 14th and 15th, along with traditional festival activities such as releasing lanterns and worshipping the moon along the historic Siem Reap River.

  It is worth mentioning that this year's traditional Water Festival will be held in Phnom Penh, the capital, from November 14th to 16th. Prime Minister Hun Manet stated at a cabinet meeting that this year's Water Festival will be a grand event and instructed relevant departments to ensure adequate security measures are in place to guarantee the smooth, safe, and orderly conduct of the activities.
