Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to Nan Makara, Director of the Information and Communication Office of the Battambang Provincial Tourism Department, Battambang City will hold its annual Water Festival dragon boat races on October 16th and 17th.
Nan Makara stated that this year's Water Festival is expected to attract more tourists, with a rich and diverse array of activities. He mentioned, "To allow the people of the province and guests to better enjoy this year's Water Festival, we will hold a food exhibition, various sports competitions, and more. Furthermore, teams that perform exceptionally well in the dragon boat races will have the opportunity to participate in the national competition."
It is worth mentioning that this year's important Cambodian traditional festival, the Water Festival, will be celebrated in Phnom Penh, the capital, from November 14th to 16th. Traditional activities such as dragon boat races, lantern boat parades, moon worship, and eating flat rice will be held. Athletes from all over the country will gather in Phnom Penh to participate in this grand dragon boat race.
