
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com), November 27th – The 4th Asia-Europe International New Music Festival 2025 opened at the Hanoi National Conservatory of Music on the evening of November 27th. Organized by the Vietnam Musicians Association in conjunction with related organizations, the event serves as an important platform for Vietnam to promote its revolutionary musical achievements and new works by local composers to the international community.
Thai Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, stated that the Asia-Europe International New Music Festival is a significant event for the Vietnamese professional music community. It not only builds an international platform for artistic exchange, bringing together outstanding composers and performing artists from various countries, but also promotes the development of Vietnamese music composition, performance, theoretical research, and criticism, providing the public with novel artistic experiences. He also mentioned that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has always supported such international cultural events, providing convenience for musicians from various countries to create, arrange, and perform new works, while guiding healthy musical aesthetics and allowing the public to perceive the core values of top-tier art.
This year's music festival attracted nearly 30 artists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Denmark, and other countries, as well as over 220 local artists from institutions such as the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and music academies. At the opening ceremony, audiences enjoyed performances including the ballet suite "Primordial Chaos," variations on a Sisa theme, songs such as "River of Friendship" and "Rebirth," and the choral piece "The Most Beautiful Name in Vietnam is Uncle Ho."
The organizing committee revealed that during the festival, international chamber music performances, chamber music performances by young Vietnamese composers, and traditional folk music concerts will be held at the Hanoi National Conservatory of Music, the Military University of Culture and Arts, and the Phu Tho Heritage Park. The closing ceremony is scheduled for the evening of December 1st in Hanoi.
This music festival not only helps Vietnamese music reach the world stage but also allows international artists to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture and people, further consolidating international friendly relations and enhancing the international standing of Vietnamese professional music.
