Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Recently, the Beijing Pinglan Public Welfare Foundation, in conjunction with Guangzhou Hongpeng Helicopter Remote Sensing Technology Co., Ltd., the Cambodia-China Relations Development Association, and the Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC), officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. This signifies the successful implementation of China's unmanned intelligent mine clearance technology and equipment in Cambodia, providing strong support for local humanitarian mine clearance operations and infrastructure development with advanced technological capabilities.
On June 15th, the Chinese cooperation team visited the Cambodian Mine Action Center, and the two sides held a special symposium. All parties engaged in in-depth exchanges and consultations on key issues such as the application advantages of unmanned mine clearance technology, site adaptation plans, and implementation procedures. Ultimately, a normalized and long-term cooperation mechanism was established, laying a solid foundation for the rapid implementation and practical application of the project.

This cooperation is driven by a strong practical need. Just one hour before the signing of the agreement, an unexploded ordnance exploded in Battambang Province, Cambodia, causing injuries and equipment damage. This sudden incident starkly exposed the high risks and low efficiency of traditional manual demining, highlighting the urgency and necessity of introducing intelligent, unmanned, efficient, and safe demining technologies.
According to the cooperation plan, all parties will accelerate project progress, aiming to complete the import and commissioning of the complete set of intelligent demining equipment within one month. Once the equipment is in place, the project team will simultaneously conduct real-world technology demonstrations, train local professionals, establish standardized operating systems, and provide long-term technical maintenance guidance, creating a comprehensive cooperation model integrating "equipment donation + technology output + talent cultivation + standard establishment."
This model, once implemented, will significantly reduce the safety risks of manual demining, dramatically improve operational efficiency, and help Cambodia accelerate the removal of landmines in key areas. It will also establish replicable and scalable intelligent demining operation standards for the local area, comprehensively promoting the modernization and standardization of demining work in Cambodia.

This Sino-Cambodian cooperation on science and technology demining is a typical example of science and technology serving public welfare and humanitarian assistance, and a concrete practice of the Sino-Cambodian community of shared future in the fields of people's livelihood and humanitarianism. Going forward, the Beijing Pinglan Charity Foundation will continue to deepen cooperation between the two sides in the fields of public welfare and humanitarianism, helping Cambodia to eliminate landmines, revitalize land resources, promote rural development, and ensure people's housing security as soon as possible, and continue to write a new chapter of good-neighborly friendship and win-win cooperation between China and Cambodia.
