Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the evening of December 29th, the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense issued an official statement formally refuting Thailand's claim that "more than 250 drones were detected entering Thailand from Cambodian airspace," emphasizing that the accusation is completely unfounded.

In a press release, Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Mary Socheat stated unequivocally that the Cambodian government and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces completely deny the Thai accusations. She pointed out that the claim of a "large-scale drone flight from Cambodia" is entirely baseless.

The statement reiterated that Cambodia remains steadfast and sincere in its commitment to fulfilling the Joint Statement of the Third Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Border Committee on December 27, 2025, the Joint Statement of the Peace Agreement signed by both sides on October 26, 2025, and other relevant agreements, aiming to promote the rapid restoration of normal life in the border region and ensure peace, stability, and common security in the region.

To further clarify the facts, the spokesperson pointed out that the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense and the governments of the border provinces had previously issued strict directives requiring comprehensive strengthening of airspace control and a strict ban on any type of drone flight.

The statement concluded by clarifying that, based on on-site verification, no drone launches or takeoffs have occurred at the Cambodian border. Cambodia urges all parties to base their decisions on facts and avoid misleading information that could damage the friendly neighborly relations between the two countries.
