  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of December 18th, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn met with Benoît Kitty, Director-General of the Department of Asia and Oceania of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, in Phnom Penh. The two co-chaired the third Cambodia-France bilateral political consultation.

  During the meeting, officials from both countries highly praised the positive development of Cambodia-France relations and agreed to further deepen this historically significant partnership, working together to elevate bilateral cooperation in various fields to a higher level.

  During the talks, Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn briefed the French side on the latest developments in the situation at the Cambodia-Thailand border. Director-General Kitty expressed concern and offered his deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the civilians killed and displaced in the conflict.

  Following the consultation, Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn presided over the signing ceremony of the "Agreement on International Volunteer Service, Exchange and Solidarity Projects and the Activities of French Volunteers in Cambodia." He emphasized that the signing of the agreement is another important milestone in the friendly cooperation between Cambodia and France, and will provide a solid guarantee for French volunteers to carry out humanitarian and social development work in Cambodia. It will also have profound significance for enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples and deepening people-to-people exchanges.
