Cambodian police have busted a case of illegal detention, and 30 men and women have been detained for investigation.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Cambodian National Police General Commissariat, in conjunction with the Mondulkiri Provincial Police, recently conducted a successful law enforcement operation, raiding a suspected illegal detention facility and rescuing one victim while detaining several suspects.

  On the afternoon of the 17th of this month, the National Police General Commissariat Special Forces and the Mondulkiri Provincial Police conducted a joint operation. The target was the TG Genting Casino building located in the province. Previously, police had received reports of illegal detention and restriction of personal freedom at the location.

  During the raid, police successfully rescued a trapped South Korean man. The man was identified as HAM TAEGYEONG (25 years old). Currently, the victim has been properly cared for and is undergoing initial health checks and protection.

  In addition to successfully rescuing the victim, police detained 30 South Korean men and women at the scene. These individuals are suspected of involvement in illegal detention and related criminal activities.

  Currently, the 30 individuals involved have been transferred to the Mondulkiri Provincial Police Station for further investigation. Police stated that they will conduct a thorough review in strict accordance with Cambodian legal procedures and will investigate the background of the criminal gang and whether they have engaged in any other illegal or criminal activities.

  Cambodian police reiterated their continued commitment to severely cracking down on all forms of illegal detention, human trafficking, and gambling-related crimes to maintain social order and the safety of foreign nationals.
