Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On December 1, 2025, the Siem Reap Provincial Administrative Organization, under the coordination of the Provincial Court Prosecutor, led a joint police operation to raid a rented villa in Sara Kamrok Village, Sara Kamrok Commune, Siem Reap Province, arresting 19 suspects involved in online fraud.
Investigation revealed that the fraud ring had only stayed in Siem Reap for about two weeks, using the guise of "contacting clients to buy stocks" to carry out fraud using technological means. They originally planned to commit crimes in other countries. Of the 19 suspects, 16 were from Bangladesh and 3 were from Nepal.
During the operation, police seized 8 computers, 35 mobile phones, and other evidence. Currently, the suspects have been handed over to the Siem Reap Police Department and relevant departments for legal proceedings, and the villa has been temporarily closed. Police are working with relevant departments to conduct a thorough investigation, track down the masterminds, and punish them according to law.
