Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of November 26, 2025, His Excellency Heng Sok (Zhang Baoshan), Minister of Labor and Vocational Training of Cambodia, met with Ms. Yasmin Siddiqi, the newly appointed Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Cambodia, and her accompanying delegation. The two sides held fruitful working discussions on further promoting cooperation in vocational training and the labor sector.
Minister Heng Sok warmly welcomed Ms. Siddiqi's visit and highly praised the important role the ADB has long played in supporting the development of vocational training in Cambodia.
Minister Heng Sok pointed out that the ADB's investment in vocational training has achieved significant results, providing strong support for Cambodia to cultivate a skilled workforce, adapt to market demands, and attract high-quality investment.
He said he believed that the visit of the new Country Director would inject new impetus into cooperation between the two sides and jointly promote the achievement of established development goals.
Ms. Siddiqi thanked the Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training for its long-term close cooperation with the ADB and expressed her appreciation for the significant progress Cambodia has made in various fields. She stated that the ADB delegation was willing to further understand the ministry's priorities and priorities in this new phase. Ms. Siddiqui reiterated that the Asian Development Bank will continue to support Cambodia's policy-making and project implementation in the field of labor and vocational training.
