Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Cambodian State Secretariat of Civil Aviation will host a grand event on December 7th at Phnom Penh's old airport (Po Sentong Airport) to celebrate "Cambodia Civil Aviation Day," combining a fun run, air show, and cultural entertainment. The event aims to promote the crucial role of the civil aviation industry in driving the country's economic, tourism, social, and cultural development.
According to a statement from the Cambodian State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, the fun run will be held from 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM on the old airport runway, offering participants a unique experience of running on a decommissioned runway.
The themed exhibition will be held in the VIP terminal from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. The exhibition will feature a diverse range of content, including: a comprehensive overview of Cambodia's aviation industry services and development achievements; exciting flight demonstrations of small aircraft and drones; Cambodian cuisine offered by the airport and major airlines, showcasing local culture; live concerts; and commemorative gifts from airlines. These activities will fully demonstrate the enormous potential and unique charm of Cambodia's aviation industry. The State Secretariat of Civil Aviation emphasizes that the civil aviation industry is a vital driving force for increasing national income, creating employment opportunities, and promoting international exchange. Developing the civil aviation industry is of paramount importance, as it can effectively boost tourism and trade growth, both of which are core pillars of Cambodia's economic development.
Holding "Cambodia Civil Aviation Day" is one of the important measures Cambodia is taking to implement the "National Air Transport Policy 2025-2035." This event also actively responds to the spirit of "World Civil Aviation Day" advocated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the Chicago Convention.
The State Secretariat of Civil Aviation calls on all ministries, relevant agencies, private enterprises, domestic and international airlines, students, and the general public to actively participate in and support this significant event, working together to showcase the enormous potential of Cambodia's aviation industry.
