Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of November 12, 2025, the Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) held a "Single Window" meeting to review two applications for newly established Special Economic Zones (SEZs).

The meeting was chaired by Chea Wu Di, Secretary General of the Investment Committee of the CDC, and attended by representatives from various government departments and related agencies.

The meeting focused on discussing and reviewing the two proposed SEZ projects, specifically located in Chum Kyri District, Kampot Province, and Chak Pa Moong City, Kampong Speu Province.

The total investment for the two SEZ projects amounts to US$195 million. The CDC believes that these newly established SEZs will be a significant driver for attracting investment projects; create employment opportunities and improve the living standards of local people; increase domestic production and expand exports to international markets; and make a positive contribution to promoting Cambodia's national economic growth.

The CDC stated that establishing SEZs is an important strategic measure by the government to attract foreign investment, promote industrialization, and achieve economic diversification.
