Vice President Andrew Gregory highly recognized the enormous potential of the Cambodian market, particularly affirming the development opportunities brought about by its accelerated urbanization, the growing middle class, and increased spending power among young people. He further elaborated on McDonald's "three-legged stool strategy" for entering new markets: finding local franchise partners with successful operational experience and a commitment to maintaining brand quality in the long term; establishing a stable, transparent supply chain system that meets McDonald's global safety standards; and expecting host countries to provide a stable business environment with consistent policies conducive to long-term investment.
Deputy Prime Minister Sun Zhantuo pledged that the Cambodian government would fully coordinate related matters and provide comprehensive support for McDonald's investment projects in Cambodia. He emphasized that McDonald's entry would not only create numerous local jobs but also help introduce advanced international management experience, improve local food safety and quality standards, and inject new vitality and development momentum into Cambodia's catering industry.
