Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of October 31, 2025, the Cambodian Ministry of Environment, under the chairmanship of Minister and Chairman of the National Sustainable Development Committee, Ing Sopheap, officially launched the "Cambodia Carbon Credit Registration System." Enrico Gaviria, UNDP Resident Representative in Cambodia, and nearly 300 representatives and senior officials from domestic and international organizations attended the launch ceremony.

As a public-facing carbon credit database, the system will provide free, transparent, and reliable services. Its construction aligns with the guiding principles of Cambodia's Fifth Five-Point Strategy for Digital Economy and Social Development.
The establishment of the carbon credit registration system aims to effectively incorporate carbon credits into the framework of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), helping Cambodia achieve its goal of becoming a carbon-neutral nation by 2050, and closely linking it with the first phase of the government's Pentagon Strategy.

Furthermore, the system is also a key platform for fulfilling the requirements of the Paris Climate Agreement, used to accurately, transparently, and traceably record and manage carbon credit data for various emission reduction projects, thereby enhancing international investors' confidence in Cambodian green projects, supporting the achievement of national climate goals, and jointly participating in global climate governance actions.
