Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Following fruitful bilateral talks recently held between Cambodian National Assembly President Prince Khun Sok Thavi and Hungarian Parliament President László Kövér, the two parliaments signed two important Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on the same day, marking a new phase in the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries.

The two MoUs include the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation and Partnership between the Parliaments of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Parliaments of Hungary," signed jointly by the leaders of the two parliaments, and the "MoU on Cooperation between the two parliamentary secretariats."

The signing of these agreements is of great significance for enhancing the cooperative relationship between the two parliaments at all levels, from leadership to secretariats.

According to the MoUs, cooperation between the two sides will cover several key areas aimed at strengthening institutional capacity building and experience exchange. Specifically, these include promoting mutual visits between parliamentarians and staff; exchanging experiences and information on legislation, oversight, and representation; providing training and capacity building activities for parliamentary staff; and comprehensively deepening and developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two parliaments.

The presidents of both parliaments highly praised this cooperation and agreed that the signed MoUs have opened a new chapter in the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries. Both sides emphasized that as institutions representing their respective peoples, this Memorandum of Understanding will not only benefit the two countries' parliaments, but will also help promote people-to-people ties and consolidate the traditional friendship and friendly relations between the two peoples.
