Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Cambodian Ministry of Labor spokesperson Sun Mesa announced on August 30 that, to date, over 190,000 Cambodian workers returning from Thailand have successfully found new employment through the government or private sector.
Sun Mesa pointed out that recent conflicts along the Cambodian-Thai border have raised concerns about the safety of Cambodian workers in Thailand, leading to a large-scale return to Cambodia.
To properly resettle these returning workers, the Ministry of Labor acted swiftly, immediately launching a campaign aimed at addressing their livelihood issues. The department brought new job opportunities directly to the villages where the workers lived, ensuring they received timely support.
Sun Mesa emphasized, “The Ministry of Labor attaches great importance to Cambodian workers returning from Thailand and has taken all necessary measures to provide them with immediate employment programs to ensure their livelihoods are promptly guaranteed.”
