
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On February 25, 2026, a joint Cambodian police operation was conducted on the 9th floor of the Star City Building in the Aubek Kom district of Phnom Penh, successfully cracking down on a technology-based fraud case and arresting 21 suspects on the spot.
According to a report from the Secretariat of the Cambodian Committee for Combating Cybercrime (CCC), the 21 suspects are of various nationalities, including 16 Chinese citizens, 1 Indian citizen, 2 Pakistani citizens, and 2 Nepalese citizens. Several pieces of evidence were seized at the scene, including one all-in-one computer, one laptop computer, and multiple mobile phones used in the crimes.
This operation was ordered by the Commissioner General of the Cambodian National Police, directly commanded by Deputy Commissioners General Major General Bun Sosekha and Major General Nhong Rosmeta, with Mr. Chhay Hong, Deputy Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, responsible for procedural coordination.
Currently, the suspects and related evidence have been transferred to the Phnom Penh Police Department for further processing in accordance with the law. Law enforcement experts are continuing to investigate the mastermind behind the case, the scene of the incident has been temporarily cordoned off, and the relevant investigation work is still proceeding in an orderly manner.
