Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Two Chinese men suspected of online fraud have recently been formally indicted by a judge at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court in Cambodia. The court simultaneously issued detention warrants, transferring the two men to Besar Prison for further judicial proceedings.

According to a report from Cambodian police, law enforcement agencies under the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior conducted a special enforcement operation in the Phnom Penh Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang district from February 19th to 21st. During the operation, law enforcement officers accurately identified the suspects and successfully apprehended the two Chinese male suspects.

After reviewing the case files, the investigating judge at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court determined that the two defendants' actions violated relevant Cambodian laws and therefore formally indicted them under Article 80 of the Criminal Code and related fraud offenses. On February 27th, the investigating judge signed the detention warrants, announcing that the case had officially entered the judicial process. To ensure the smooth progress of the case, it was decided that the two suspects would be transferred to Besar Prison for detention during the trial.
