The Hubei Provincial Medical-Engineering Cross-Integration Innovation Industry Alliance was officially unveiled, and cooperation agreements were reached for 31 medical-engineering cross-integration innovation and industrialization projects, with a total intended investment of approximately 1.2 billion yuan. These projects involve cooperation across the entire medical-engineering cross-industry chain, encompassing a comprehensive ecosystem of industry-academia-research-medical-finance collaboration.
The Hubei Provincial Medical-Engineering Cross-Integration Innovation Industry Alliance is a provincial-level medical-engineering integration innovation and transformation platform established under the guidance of the Hubei Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the Hubei Provincial Health Commission, and the Hubei Provincial Drug Administration. The alliance brings together multiple core units, including medical institutions, universities and research institutes, investment and financing institutions, leading pharmaceutical companies, and professional service organizations, to build a complete innovation ecosystem encompassing "clinical needs—technology research and development—pilot-scale maturation—capital empowerment—industrial implementation."
In recent years, Hubei Province has maintained a leading position nationwide in niche sectors such as high-end medical imaging, intelligent electrocardiogram monitoring, digital diagnostic and treatment equipment, screening systems represented by artificial intelligence technology applications, and high-value implantable and interventional consumables.
Ma Ding, Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Medical-Engineering Interdisciplinary Innovation Industry Alliance, stated that the alliance will mobilize platform institutions and pharmaceutical companies to focus on early intervention, early connection, and early integration of scientific and technological achievements in transformation.
