Upon receiving the report, public security, emergency response, and medical rescue departments quickly arrived at the scene.
Investigation revealed that the driver, Zhang Mouguang (male, 49 years old), was driving his own Wuling minivan, which was illegally overloaded. While traveling on Yuanqu Avenue in Hezhen Township, he collided with a large truck parked on the roadside, resulting in the deaths of two students and injuries to 14 others. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment and are not in life-threatening condition. Following the accident, driver Zhang Mouguang was taken into custody by the public security authorities. Tests have ruled out drunk driving and drug driving.
