  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On February 11th local time, the Sudanese non-governmental organization "Sultan Doctors Network" announced via social media that a passenger boat sank in the Nile River in the northern Nile State of Sudan on the evening of the 11th, resulting in at least 15 deaths.

  According to reports from the Sudan Daily Mail, the UK's Independent, and other media outlets, "Sultan Doctors Network" issued a statement confirming that the boat was carrying at least 27 people, including women and children, and sank on the evening of the 11th while traveling in the Nile River near Shandi City in northern Nile State.

  "Sultan Doctors Network" revealed that after the accident, search and rescue operations were immediately launched, including by local residents. At least 15 bodies have been recovered, including women, the elderly, and children. Six people were successfully rescued.

  Local residents and rescue teams are still searching for the missing persons. In response, "Sudan Doctors Network" called on Sudanese authorities to deploy professional rescue teams and equipment, and to "take immediate measures to ensure the safety of water transport and prevent such disasters from happening again."
