Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – As of noon today, 72 hours have passed since the Cambodia-Thailand border ceasefire agreement officially took effect. However, despite the full implementation of the ceasefire, Thailand has yet to release the 18 Cambodian soldiers held captive, a move that has drawn widespread attention.

Since the ceasefire took effect, the border situation has remained generally stable, with frontline troops on both sides strictly adhering to the agreement and ceasing armed hostilities. However, the release of personnel—a crucial element in easing tensions—has not yet made substantial progress.

According to the previous consensus reached by both sides, the transfer of detained personnel should be prioritized during the window period following the ceasefire's implementation. The 72-hour golden coordination period has now expired, and the 18 Cambodian soldiers remain in Thai custody, not yet released as expected.
