Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to recently declassified US official documents, US forces stationed in Japan participated in US nuclear war plans against the Soviet Union and China during the Cold War in the 1970s.

It is understood that the US Air Force at Iwakuni Air Base repeatedly conducted nuclear weapon drop training using simulated hydrogen bombs from 1971 to 1974. With Japan adhering to the "Three Non-Nuclear Principles," the US military was committed to building a nuclear-capable force, and Japan was at one point a potential base for nuclear strikes. It is claimed that a plane crash occurred during the training.

The document is an official record from 1970 to 1974, produced by the US military stationed in Japan. The document was previously stored in the US National Archives.
