The statement indicated that Thai F-16 fighter jets conducted an airstrike on the Siem Reap-Chong Kao Bridge, located at the border of Siem Reap province's Siem Reap district and Oddar Meanchey province's Chong Kao district. This airstrike occurred near a refugee camp in Siem Reap district, posing a serious threat to the safety of local civilians and displaced persons.
Simultaneously with the Thai airstrike, the Cambodian border police acted swiftly and made significant progress.
The Cambodian border police reported the successful arrest of a suspected spy providing military intelligence to Thailand. The suspect is accused of providing military intelligence on the area targeted by the airstrike, leading to the incident.
Currently, the suspected spy is in custody and will be further processed according to Cambodian legal procedures.
