
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Cambodia and Thailand have made significant new progress in joint work on border affairs. According to a report by Cambodian National Television (TVK), officials from the Cambodian State Secretariat for Border Affairs submitted an updated progress report on December 3rd regarding the survey and temporary marking work on the border section between the two countries, specifically boundary markers 42 and 47.

The report states that from November 19th to 26th, 2025, joint technical teams from both sides collaborated efficiently and successfully completed aerial photography of approximately 7 kilometers of the border area between boundary markers 42 and 43 using drones.
Subsequently, on November 27th, technical personnel from both sides jointly processed all the aerial data and produced a basic aerial map for subsequent on-site surveys.

From November 28th to December 2nd, a joint Cambodian-Thai survey team conducted temporary surveying and marking work on-site. This survey section is specifically located in the area across the river between Oucho District, Banteay Meanchey Province, Cambodia, and Koh Song District, Sa Kaeo Province, Thailand, specifically between boundary markers 42 and 43. According to the plan, 277 temporary markers are to be set up in this area. To date, 39 temporary markers have been established, located in Banteay Meanchey and Sa Kaeo provinces.
The report emphasizes that the overall work is progressing smoothly, with both sides maintaining efficient and close cooperation throughout the surveying and marking process. The joint team is committed to steadily completing the border demarcation tasks, laying a solid foundation for the final clarification and stability of the border between the two countries.
