Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Ukrainian Presidential Office announced on the 20th that President Zelenskyy has formally received a draft plan from the United States to resolve the Ukrainian crisis and hopes to discuss related issues with US President Trump in the coming days. Zelenskyy stated that he discussed the plan with visiting US Army Secretary Driscoll.
According to the Ukrainian National News Agency, the Presidential Office posted a message on social media on the evening of the 20th stating that it had received the draft plan from the US and that Ukraine has consistently supported US proposals to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict since the beginning of this year. Ukraine is ready to engage in constructive cooperation with the US, Europe, and other partners to achieve peace.
The Presidential Office also stated that Zelenskyy hopes to discuss existing diplomatic opportunities and key elements needed to achieve peace with Trump in the coming days.
Zelenskyy posted on social media that he discussed peace-building plans, phased work arrangements and dialogue mechanisms, and new diplomatic momentum with US Army Secretary Driscoll. The Ukrainian and US teams will jointly develop relevant action plans and are ready to engage in constructive, honest, and efficient cooperation.
According to reports from Axios and the Financial Times, the US-proposed plan includes 28 points across four categories, covering topics such as peace and security guarantees in Ukraine, European security, and future US-Russia-Ukraine relations. The plan proposes that Ukraine relinquish the entire Donbas region, including areas currently under Ukrainian military control.
US media reports that the US and Russia are holding secret consultations on a new plan to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. However, Sputnik News reported on the 21st that Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov stated that since the August meeting between Russian and US leaders, there has been "no new progress" on the issue of peace and reconciliation in the Ukrainian conflict.
Sputnik News also reported on the 21st that Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Nebenzia, stated that he has not seen any genuine desire from the Ukrainian side to sit down and negotiate and discuss a solution to the crisis. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov previously stated that in July, during negotiations in Istanbul, Russia proposed establishing three working groups to specifically study humanitarian, military, and political issues, but has yet to receive a response from the Ukrainian side. Furthermore, Zelenskyy also rejected President Putin's invitation to negotiate in Moscow. (End)
