Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On August 8th local time, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered the grounding of all McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighters and demanded a comprehensive inspection.

The order reportedly stems from a crash that occurred on August 4th local time, when a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 freighter crashed into a community on the edge of an airport in Kentucky, killing at least 14 people and triggering a series of fires that destroyed several businesses.

The cause of the accident was attributed to "the detachment of the aircraft's left engine and engine mount during takeoff." The FAA warned that "this unsafe condition may exist or will exist in other products of the same design."
