Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – A fire broke out at a nursing home in Tuzla, a city in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the evening of the 4th local time, resulting in at least 10 deaths and approximately 20 injuries.
According to the Federal Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the fire occurred on the seventh floor, where residents with mobility impairments reside. Preliminary information indicates that most of the deceased likely died from smoke inhalation. The fire is currently under control.
The BBC reported that the injured have been taken to the Clinical Center of Tuzlaz University for treatment. It is understood that the injured include not only nursing home residents but also firefighters, police officers, medical workers, and nursing home staff involved in the rescue operation.
The Federal Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina reported that the cause of the fire is still unclear and will be announced after confirmation by the relevant authorities' investigation. (End)
