The report, citing the Japan Meteorological Agency, stated that the earthquake had a focal depth of 40 kilometers, and tremors of intensity level 2 were felt in many areas of Chiba and Shizuoka prefectures.
Furthermore, tremors of intensity level 1 were also felt in many areas of the Tokyo metropolitan area, including Tokyo and Yokohama.
No tsunami was triggered by the earthquake.
