  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to a report released by the Guangdong Provincial Emergency Management Department on January 12, multiple locations in Guangdong Province have continued to carry out a special campaign to crack down on illegal activities related to fireworks and firecrackers. The campaign has severely punished illegal activities such as operating without a license, illegal storage, transportation, excessive storage, and operating beyond the permitted scope. Currently, 17 tons of illegally stored fireworks and firecrackers have been seized.

  The Guangdong Provincial Emergency Management Department also reported that on January 17, the Huangpu District Public Security Bureau, the Emergency Management Bureau, and the Changzhou Subdistrict Office of Guangzhou City conducted a joint enforcement operation, uncovering a suspected fireworks and firecrackers operation on a side street of Jinzhou North Road in Changzhou Subdistrict. A total of 757 pieces of fireworks and firecrackers, totaling approximately 5 tons, were seized. On the 26th of the same month, acting on a tip, the Huangpu District Emergency Management Bureau, in conjunction with the District Public Security Bureau, Nangang Street Police Station, and the Emergency Management Office, raided an illegal fireworks storage site at the Fujian Third Plot in Shabu Community, Nangang Street. A total of 1,048 boxes of fireworks, weighing approximately 8.5 tons, were seized at the scene. The suspects have been apprehended by the police, and the case is under investigation.

  On February 2nd, the Panyu District Public Security Bureau, in conjunction with the District Emergency Management Bureau and local town/street offices and police stations, conducted a crackdown on illegal fireworks storage. An illegal fireworks storage site was discovered at a flower and plant planting area in Chendai Lane, Shilou Town. More than 900 boxes of fireworks, weighing approximately 10 tons, were seized, and four suspects were arrested. The case is currently under further investigation. On January 3rd, the Zengcheng District Emergency Management Bureau of Guangzhou, together with the District Public Security Bureau and the Shitan Town Emergency Management Office, raided a residential building in the area and shut down an illegal fireworks storage site. Approximately 1,355 pieces of fireworks, totaling about 16 tons, were seized on site. The case is currently under investigation.

  Furthermore, on January 28th, the Zhuhai Jinwan District Fireworks and Firecrackers Anti-Illegal Activities Team, based on prior intelligence, seized 414 boxes of illegal fireworks and firecrackers, valued at approximately 45,000 yuan, in a shop in Lianwan Community, Pingsha Town. On January 4th, the Huizhou Huiyang District Emergency Management Bureau, in conjunction with the Huizhou Municipal Public Security Bureau Huiyang Branch Security Brigade and Zhenlong Police Station, conducted a surprise inspection of a suspected large-scale fireworks and firecracker storage shed, seizing 1,096 boxes of fireworks printed with phrases such as "Chinese Dragon," "Aerial Ballet," and "Milan Night."

  The Guangdong Provincial Emergency Management Department reminds the public that fireworks and firecrackers are flammable and explosive materials, and the entire process, from production, operation, storage, transportation, and setting off to disposal, is highly dangerous. Illegal production, sale, and storage of fireworks and firecrackers pose significant safety hazards. (End)
