Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Dalian Coast Guard Bureau announced on the 21st that on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, dense fog blanketed the waters off Zhuanghe, Liaoning Province, causing the suspension of all passenger ferries to and from Shicheng Township, Zhuanghe City. That day, the Zhuanghe First Work Station of the Dalian Coast Guard Bureau received three emergency calls for assistance and successfully transferred three patients stranded on Shicheng Island to the island for medical treatment.

“An elderly person’s uremia has worsened; they urgently need to get off the island for dialysis!” “A child’s high fever won’t go down; please help us!” At 10:04 AM, the alarm bells rang in succession. The work station quickly assessed the situation and sea conditions, immediately activated the maritime rescue emergency plan, and dispatched a patrol boat to break through the fog. Twenty minutes later, the stranded individuals were successfully picked up.

With visibility less than 50 meters due to the dense fog, the patrol boat navigated cautiously. At 10:45 AM, the elderly person and the young girl were safely transferred to Zhuanghe Port. A waiting vehicle at the dock seamlessly connected them, quickly transporting the two to the hospital.

At 12:47 PM, the alarm sounded again: a boy on the island had accidentally ingested blood pressure medication and was in critical condition. Without taking a break, the law enforcement officers cast off again and set sail once more, returning to the foggy sea. About an hour later, the boy was safely transferred to the port and taken to the hospital.

Currently, all three individuals are out of danger and receiving treatment in the hospital. (End)
