Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, with the approval of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, the Liaoning Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision investigated Wang Houhai, former Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhongshan District Committee and former District Head of the Zhongshan District Government of Dalian City, for serious violations of discipline and law.
The investigation revealed that Wang Houhai had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original aspirations and mission, disregarded the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, and improperly accepted gifts and money, as well as banquets that could influence the impartial performance of his official duties. He violated organizational principles by seeking benefits for others in cadre selection and appointment. He crossed the line of discipline and law by using his position to seek benefits for others in areas such as project fund allocation and promotion, and illegally accepted money and property.
Wang Houhai seriously violated the Party's organizational discipline and integrity discipline, constituting serious job-related violations and suspected bribery crimes. Moreover, he did not restrain himself after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, indicating the serious nature and egregious impact of his actions, warranting severe punishment. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Disciplinary Sanctions of the Communist Party of China", the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Sanctions for Public Officials", and upon approval by the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee after deliberation by the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, it was decided to expel Wang Houhai from the Party; the Liaoning Provincial Supervisory Commission will dismiss him from public office; his illegal gains will be confiscated; and his suspected crimes will be transferred to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law, with all related assets transferred as well.
